Stumbled on this place after learning that another unnamed Greek restaurant was going to be an hour wait to get in. Wow! We had a great meal for a fraction of the price. The staff was polite and helpful at selecting meals and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend Athena!
I love this place! The best chicken gyro I've ever had. Delicious potatoes too! I always leave feeling full but never bloated or gross or like I've eaten a salt shakers worth of salt. I come here often and savor it because it's only a matter of time before the crappy chains that are taking over put this one out business too. Maybe I'm being a bit dramatic but still, what a gem! Prices are really good too!
So I’ve been watching this place since I moved to the area. I love a good lemon roasted potato. I was out on a walk and figured I’d stop in to pick up a late lunch. I ordered the quarter chicken and potatoes and green beans, pita bread on the side. When I got home and opened my box, I was a little taken back by house small the chicken quarter was. I figured that they compensated with the sides, so I didn’t feel robbed. The food was delicious though! I’d recommend getting a dinner roll rather than pita bread though. I didn’t eat it. Perhaps if they toasted the pita with olive oil/sea salt, it would’ve been delicious. Otherwise, this is a great lunch spot. If you’re starving, get a half chicken. If you’re on a diet like me, then get the quarter chicken. Id definitely come back and try the gyro.
I have been dining here since I was young. The staff is the BEST! The chicken and potatoes are my go-to with some grilled pita. Yum! We dont live close anymore, so every time we visit, I have to get some to take home too! This place never disappoints.
Eating here is like eating at your family’s place. The food is always great and ready quickly. The chicken is always juicy and tender. Their roasted potatoes are to die for. Their gyros are top notch. The tabouleh is phenomenal! Everything we order here we love! The staff is always respectful and welcoming. We always try to stop in when we’re in the area.
Outstanding gyros! I can't wait to taste the roasted chicken, but I was lowered in by trying their Gyro on Pita, first! Highly recommended if you're in the mood for Greek. Very authentic!
I’ve been enjoying this amazing food since this place opened. The marinara covered zucchini is unique and awesome. The peas are the best I’ve ever eaten. The chicken is moist and perfectly flavored. We love the family meal...great value!
